Praveena spoke about the Thurston Players and their successful play. They are looking at going in a different direction with their donation to Thurston. They try to keep a minimum donation of $2500.00 but are able to give $5000.00 this year. In the future they want to allocate $2500.00 to the costs of field trips for Music/Arts. and any additional funds will be unallocated. Next year this donation will go toward fully funding Ms. Rothfeld’s music field trip. The remaining money would go toward the Wild Swan field trip or similar art-related trips.

Bagel Friday will need a volunteer to continue. It has been removed from next year’s budget for now.

Motion to approve the budget for 2017-2018 made by Kelly Delp., seconded by Brandy C. Merritt, and approved with no objections and one abstention.

Farewells for our exiting staff members are planned for June 1st from 5:00--7:00. There will most likely be light refreshment and socialization as well as some type of recognition.
